Corporate Compliance

Unfortunately, there is a great deal of fraud within the home health industry. Providers in Texas, Florida and California have been targeted by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid (CMS) and the Office of the Inspector General (OIG) for fraud investigation. It is incumbent on physicians to know who is getting the home care referral for their patients and why. It is important to understand the Stark laws as it relates to referrals and to abide by them.

Home Therapy takes compliance seriously. We have a Corporate Compliance Plan. The Plan contains a detailed set of activities that are implemented to promote ethical behavior and to hold individuals and our organizations accountable. The actions include orientation and training, individual pledges, reporting mechanisms for suspected or demonstrated misconduct and procedures for investigating any suspicions or violations.

The Chief Compliance Officer for HT is Rhonda Kelly. She can be reached at 512-637-1550 or 800-865-6487 or rhondakelly@hometherapy.biz.
